Psychic Energy Types
These types of energy are generated or originate within each and every human...even other living creatures as well. It is up to us if we decide to tap into these abilities or not. Some are born with these and realize very young, some take it upon themselves to learn the skills on their own...and even more go through their entire lives not knowing the difference. Just to warn you, this page is VERY long, go ahead and go to the bathroom now. ;)
Life Energy: This energy has unique properties, it doesn't seem to have any associations with electromagnetism. It is present in all living things, and in humans seems to originate from an energy center located just below the naval. This energy type is the one most often used by Eastern style energy workers.
Psi Energy (Psychic Energy): This energy seems to be produced by or is associated with the nervous system activity, and is present in all animals which have a nervous system, and even plants which have a similar structure. It has properties similar to energies in the electromagnetic spectrum. Nerve clusters which seem to be particularly associated with producing this energy include several areas in the brain, the solar plexis, and the nerves in the skin.
Faith Energy: This energy seems to be produced in the brain, and seems to have some properties similar to electromagnetic energy. It also affects probability alteration, so may have quantum effects. NOT all persons produce this energy, and faith does not imply production of Faith Energy.
Collective Unconscious Energy: This energy is the result of decay of Psi or Faith Energy which has been shed by living things. It will seem to have electromagnetic properties.
Earth Energy: This energy is produced by the planet, and also seems to have electromagnetic properties. It is found in most places in the Earth and is concentrated in electromagnetic force lines which are commonly called ley lines.
Quantum-Pattern and Neutral Energy: these types of energy seem to be quantum in nature, and are most commonly used by ceremonial magickians.
Veil Energy: another unknown energy type, and difficult to understand. Originates from within or beyond a Menger-Sponge-Like barrier between this reality and somewhere else.
Psion & Psychic Terms
Behavioral Programming Ability: This is the ability to program a construct to behave in certain fashions, (such as a movement). The input function is to read the behavioral programming in an existing construct.
Construct: a stable, programmed energy form that maintains it's programming outside of a material matrix.
Channeling: relaying information from a spirit entity, or allowing a spirit to "possess" oneself in order to communicate. Alternate meaning: moving energy from one place to another either in or out of the body.
Clairaudience: refers to energy perception translated into sound by the brain ( "hearing" psychic energy or spirit communications etc.).
Clairsentience: refers to energy perception translated into tactile sensation by the brain ("feeling" psychic energy).
Clairvoyance: refers to energy perception translated by the brain into visual images ("seeing" psychic energies, auras, spirits etc.) Also used to refer to "seeing" visions or future events or events occurring at a distance.
Divination: using a physical focus or tool (crystal ball, tea leaves, runes, tarot cards) to trigger future-sensing ability.
Dowsing: using a rod, stick or pendulum to access subconscious psychic perception in order to locate something ( such as an object, internal injury or water ). Can be done either at a site or using a map.
Dreamwalking: using telepathy to enter another person's dreams and interact with them.
Empathy: using psychic sense to "feel" other's emotions. Also used to describe sensing other's physical sensations and nervous system activity or even primal reactions.
ESP: extra-sensory perception. Used to refer to any receptive psi ability.
Esper: a person who has ESP.
Density Ability: this ability involves controlling or reading the density of psi-energy either within yourself or outside of yourself.
Capacity Ability: this ability is a person's ability to store psi-energy in their body or field. The input function of this ability is to read the capacity of another person.
Direction Ability:this is the ability to control the direction of the movement of psi-energy.
Electricity Ability: this is the ability to sense electromagnetic radiation, such as light, or microwaves. The output function is to manipulate electromagnetic radiation.
Emotion Ability: this is the ability to sense emotions in others. The output function is to affect the emotions of others, or project your emotions on them.
Flow Ability: this is the ability to project energy from one point to another, and to control the resistance/conduction of psi-energy moving between two points. The input function is to sense these things.
Generation Ability: this is the ability to generate energy, or to read a person's ability to generate psi-energy.
Gravity Ability: this is the ability to manipulate or sense gravity.
Intensity Ability: this is the ability to control the effective level of psi abilities, in oneself or in others. If you increase the intensity, you increase the effective ability level. The input function is to sense the ability intensity in another person.
Kinetic Ability: (sound, heat, vibration) These are the ability to control kinetic energy or sense kinetic energy.
Magnetism Ability: the ability to affect magnetism.
Matter Abilities: (solid, liquid, gas, plasma) These abilities allow the manipulation of physical matter.
Momentum Ability: the ability to manipulate and sense momentum.
Primal Ability: the ability to sense instinctive reactions in others. The output function is to affect another's instinctive response.
Resistance Ability: the ability to control your body's conductivity of psi-energy. The input function is to sense another's conductivity/resistance.
Shaping Ability: this is the ability to shape a construct. The input function is to sense the shape of a construct.
Thought Ability: the ability to sense the thoughts of another. The input function is to affect another's thoughts, or project your own to them.
Time Ability: this complex ability allows the perception of events occurring in time. This includes sensing events in the past, present and future.
Velocity Ability: the ability to control the velocity of psi-energy (how fast it's moving).
Born-Psi: a term used to describe persons who have psi abilities inborn, instead of learning them. Being born-psi DOES NOT mean you do not need to develop your skills, it just means you might not have to work quite as hard at it while developing them.
Conductor: a type of Immune who has their psi-energy conductivity ability permanently set at it's highest level. Psi-energy passes right through them without an affect.
High-Psi: a term used to refer to a person who has a high level of innate or highly developed psi abilities.
Immune: a type of born-psi who cannot be affected by, or learn psionics (w/o considerable or unusual effort) Immune's are rare.
Partial: a psi genetics term for a person who was born with low-level psi abilities, and a few instincts to use them.
PSI BALL: a very simple construct, a ball of energy formed in the hand, usually about the size of a baseball.
Psi-Blast: this refers to emitting a burst of psi-energy with fairly high density and velocity toward a target. The effects occur on a purely psychic level. Generally considered an attack.
Psi-Vamp: a term used to describe a type of born-psi who does not have a functional generation ability, but does have facility with energy working. Psi-Vamps take psychic energy, or other energies, from other sources in order to use for their own abilities. They do not generate energy on a level beyond that of a Non who is non-active, and sometimes even less.
Repulser: a type of Immune who has their conductivity ability permanently set at it's highest resistance level. Psi-energy which they did not generate will not enter their body, it just "bounces" off, with no affect.
Scanning: this is using your psi abilities to perceive something. This term can be used to refer either to active or passive scanning. Passive scanning is when the person/place/thing (target) you are scanning is within the normal range of your field, or when the target is projecting something to you and you are reading it. Active scanning is when you send your energy to the target in order to read the target. Most of the time when the term "scanning" is used, it refers to active scanning.
Vamping: a term used to describe a psychic attack which drains energy, interferes with abilities usage, and causes physical and mental weakness.
Weion: (pronounced: way-ahn) the desire for the sensation of energy moving through your nervous system or energy system.
Frontloading: a remote-viewing term, meaning to give a person information on something they are trying to detect psychically, before they try to detect it. This can cause them to imagine they see what they think they should, rather than seeing what is actually there.
Natural: a born-psi.
Outbounding: a type of remote viewing done by psychically connecting with a person who is at the site you wish to view.
Ping: a term used to describe a short burst of energy to get someone's attention, or a short forceful telepathic message or suggestion to get on the phone or internet for further conversation.
Precognition: refers to the ability to for-see future events before they occur.
Psychokinesis: using a psi to move physical matter--moving objects with the mind.
Remote Viewing: refers to the ability to perceive places, people, and events at a distance or beyond the range of the other five senses.
Retrocognition: refers to the ability to perceive past events.
Sight: energy sensing ability that a person interprets as visual images, i.e., the example to "see" psychic energy, auras, spirits, etc. Sight is always capitalized.
Teek: a person who has psychokinetic ability.
Teep: a person who has telepathic ability.
Telekinesis: old term for psychokinesis.
Telepathy: receiving thoughts from another person or animal, or sending thoughts to them.
